Wicken Wild Camping



Available for spending a wild night out in the open. Walk or cycle to stay in the open-fronted log shelters, no tent required. There are four shelters, each sleeps 6 adults or 8 children. Spend a night getting back to basics; a camp fire, an eco-loo and you'll need to bring your own water. Ideal for scout groups, D of E groups and adventurous families!




Where: On the wider Wicken Fen Nature Reserve. Accessible on foot or by bike from Anglesey Abbey (2 miles) or Wicken Fen (6 miles). There is a drop-off point where you can leave your gear before parking your car at Wicken or Anglesey for the night.  

Prices: 2017: £35 per night up until 26 Feb; £40 27 Feb - 30 March, plus weekdays where other prices don't apply;
£45 31 March - 15 April, plus all Fridays, Saturdays; and Sundays before a Bank Holiday April - 8 July, summer half term (w/c 29 May), 16 - 20 July;
£48 from 21 July - 2 Sept, all nights
Per group, for the whole site per night.

Cancellations:
The reservation may be cancelled at any time by the visitor. If a cancellation occurs the following refund policy applies: 
Cancellation up to 1 month beforehand – 100% refund 
Cancellation between one month and 7 days beforehand – 50% refund 
Cancellation in last 7 days – no refund

  2. On our way home from a night of wild camping here. Had a great time, children loved sleeping out and toasting marshmallows on the fire. Brilliant set-up!

  3. Camped here with the scouts. Brilliant, they loved it. It would be nice to have a couple of these or maybe smaller ones at another site so that smaller groups such as families could use them without monopolising the whole site.
